Hamburg, October 8, 2026 – Hamburg-based food tech company goodBytz has appointed Till Reuter, former CEO of robotics group KUKA, as an Advisor and Chairman of the Board. One of Germany’s most experienced executives in robotics and automation, Reuter will work closely with the goodBytz management team to support the company’s continued scaling and international expansion.
Reuter served as CEO of KUKA from 2009 to 2018, leading the Augsburg-based robotics group through a pivotal phase of its development. He now brings his experience in building and internationally scaling a technology- and hardware-driven company to goodBytz.
“Till has already been through the journey that still lies ahead of us: scaling robotics technology from Germany internationally and turning technological innovation into a globally relevant business,” says Dr. Hendrik Susemihl, Co-Founder and CEO of goodBytz. “Having him by our side as an Advisor and Chairman of the Board, as well as a close strategic sparring partner, marks an important step in the next phase of goodBytz.”
Scaling German robotics internationally
goodBytz develops autonomous robotic kitchens that prepare fresh meals fully automatically. Since its founding in 2021, the Hamburg-based company has evolved from a technology developer into an international provider of autonomous food infrastructure. Today, its systems are already operating in markets including Germany, Austria, South Korea and the United States.
With Reuter joining the company, goodBytz is adding further expertise for precisely this next phase: building international structures, scaling a complex hardware business and positioning German robotics technology in global markets.
In addition to his operational experience, Reuter brings an extensive international network spanning robotics, industry and business. As an Advisor and Chairman of the Board, he will support the strategic development of goodBytz and work closely with the management team to identify new partnerships and growth opportunities.
“Robotics has conquered the factory floor. The much bigger step still lies ahead: robotics needs to become part of our everyday lives. For that to happen, it needs to stop being perceived as technology and start working as something completely natural and seamless. To me, goodBytz is an example of how this transition can succeed: operating around the clock, preparing up to 1,000 fresh meals a day and proving itself in real-world environments. My experience in robotics and the food industry comes together here in a unique way. Scaling this potential internationally represents an exceptional entrepreneurial opportunity,” says Till Reuter, Advisor and Chairman of the Board at goodBytz.
Physical AI meets food
For goodBytz, Reuter’s appointment also reflects the growing importance of Physical AI. While artificial intelligence has so far primarily transformed digital processes, it is increasingly moving into the physical world, enabling intelligent machines to independently plan and execute complex tasks.
goodBytz applies this approach to food infrastructure. Its autonomous systems prepare meals from fresh ingredients and handle key processes from cooking to serving. In September 2026, the company unveiled emma., its latest generation of autonomous kitchen robotics.
“We believe the next major wave of AI will not happen exclusively on screens,” says Susemihl. “Physical AI will change how we produce, work and organize our infrastructure. With Till, we are gaining someone who has actively shaped the development of industrial robotics for many years.”
Reuter’s appointment comes as goodBytz enters its next phase of growth.
