German food tech company goodBytz wins another contract in the U.S. defense market.

For the first time, an autonomous kitchen robot from goodBytz will be deployed in the United States. At the end of the summer, the Hamburg-based food tech company will deliver its fully autonomous kitchen robot to Fort Hood, Texas. Once installed, the system will prepare fresh meals around the clock for soldiers stationed on the base.

Hamburg, July 21, 2026: For the first time, an autonomous kitchen robot from goodBytz will be deployed in the United States. At the end of the summer, the Hamburg-based food tech company will deliver its fully autonomous kitchen robot to Fort Hood, Texas. Once installed, the system will prepare fresh meals around the clock for soldiers stationed on the base.


With Fort Hood, goodBytz is launching at one of the largest military installations in the United States. Around 41,000 soldiers are stationed there, and together with their families, approximately 70,000 people live on the base. As one of the largest employers in Texas, Fort Hood requires a highly reliable and continuous food service operation.


For goodBytz, the deployment marks another milestone in its international expansion. It demonstrates that autonomous kitchen robots are ready to operate in environments where thousands of people depend on fresh, consistently prepared meals every day. The first installation is only the beginning of a broader rollout: the agreement already includes firm orders for 20 additional autonomous kitchen robots to be deployed at further military bases. In addition, the contract includes a three-digit number of pre-ordered options for future systems.

The deployment in Texas builds directly on goodBytz's first U.S. Army project in South Korea and represents the next step in scaling its defense business globally. Since November 2025, the company has successfully operated an autonomous kitchen robot there, followed by an autonomous kitchen container launched in spring 2026. The installation at Fort Hood now extends this collaboration and brings goodBytz's technology to the United States for the first time.


The Fort Hood deployment reflects goodBytz's vision of making fresh food available wherever people live and work. Regardless of the time of day or staff availability, autonomous kitchen robots are designed to provide access to freshly prepared meals 24/7.
